What sort of person would bother going on the internet to watch political advertisements?
Such thoughts appear not to have occurred to many NSW politicians, who have embraced the net with enthusiasm this election. Peter Debnam, for instance, has two blogs: his own (a rehash of press releases), and a rude one thoughtfully put together by ALP mudslingers.
But the internet can be death by a thousand hits. Check out the Liberal candidate for Sydney Edward Mandla's mournful attack on the incumbent, Clover Moore (www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fNxEbY3EMg). The voiceover, by C. Abood, of Bligh Street, Sydney, has the potential to make ears bleed. |

Crown Reservoir Action Group Save Our Heritage Stop the Sub-Division and Sale
With only 3 weeks to the NSW State elections, CRAG has established the issue of the sub-division and sale of the Crown Street Reservoir as an important local issue. Over forty residents rallied on February 24th outside the gates of the reservoir. The symbolic action attracted the attention of local Sydney candidates Chris Harris (Greens), Edward Mandela (Liberal) and Clover Moore (Ind). The absence of the Labour candidate for Sydney Linda Scott was not surprising considering her shoddy record on working with residents trying to save the Crown Street Reservoir.
