My goal is to move Sydney onto the front foot by being elected State Liberal Member for Sydney at the elections on March 24, 2007. As a full time elected Liberal, I will have the opportunity to be initiating and driving well thought out solutions.
Sydney is one of the most recognisable and beautiful cities in the world. It is home to some of the most progressive and forward thinking individuals in Australia. Over the last decade, these individuals drove incredible social changes throughout our society.
Today, Sydney is the capital of Australia’s poorest performing state. Sydney is in an infrastructure crisis and a showcase for the poor services experienced by all people of NSW. This is the result of over a decade of Labor government neglect and local part time representation confined to poking holes in the ideas of the government of the day.
It is time the forward thinking people of Sydney drove a major infrastructure message through the community by electing a Liberal Party representative at the State elections. We need to create a vision for the future and turn it in into actionable steps. Every vote counts and
a vote for the incumbent independent Clover Moore, who is stretched as Lord Mayor, is a vote for Labor.
This website started as a repository of all my newspaper columns and media appearances. Most of my columns are featured including my “The Chief” column which I wrote for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. It also contains the columns I wrote when I was National President of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) including for The Australian.
My background is business and technology. My primary mission as ACS President was to raise awareness of technology for the benefit of all Australians. Technology is critically important to Australia's future productivity growth and at the heart of moving our society to more environmentally friendly practices.
Technology people are doers. They work collaboratively to develop a plan and execute on it. NSW has been gripped by talk fests, whinging and little action. As a hard working person, it is my commitment that I will harness the power of forward thinking Sydney residents and ingrain it into as many Liberal policies as possible.
On March 24, 2007 every vote will count. NSW needs a Liberal government and Sydney needs to be represented by a major political party, a Liberal local member who can directly influence policy direction. Please contribute your thoughts. It's how we advance our society.
